The MSN suite of internet tools can make browsing on the Internet or connecting with friends a snap, but the first step to putting these tools to work for you is the install process. However if you have downloaded the installer from the MSN website and are having some trouble running it, there are some practical troubleshooting steps you can take to ensure the installation process moves forward
Make sure you are still connected to the Internet. Although you are not using your browser, the Installer will need to connect to the MSN website in order to exchange information. Make sure all cables are plugged in or if you are using Wi-Fi, make sure your computer is still receiving the signal.
Terminate any unnecessary processes. Unnecessary browser windows, as well as word processing software, and even Solitaire should be closed to allow the program to have the processing power it needs to run.
Run a virus scan. There may be a persistent virus on your computer that blocks certain software. Free virus scanners like Avira and Avast! will do the job and identify if there are any viruses on your computer
Restart your computer. Although you will have to terminate all your processes again, your computer might just be experiencing some type of internal issue and might benefit from a restart. Once your computer boots back up, make sure to terminate the processes (like you did in step 2) and then try the Installer again.
